Argentina GP, March 31, 2023 – The first day of free practice for the Argentina Grand Prix saw Prima Pramac Racing riders Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin in great shape, demonstrating excellent competitiveness from day one.
Zarco, who had already shown his talent with a fourth-place finish in Portugal, continued to impress, registering the sixth fastest time in the first free practice session and the fifth fastest time in the second. The French rider seems to have found a great feeling with his Ducati Desmosedici GP, proving fast both on a single lap and on race pace.
Jorge Martin also had positive impressions, showing good speed and consistency in both free practice sessions. The Spanish rider finished the first session with the third fastest time and the second with the seventh.
Both Prima Pramac Racing riders are satisfied with the results achieved on the first day of free practice and are looking optimistically towards the remaining practice sessions and the race on Sunday. The competition in MotoGP is always very strong, but Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin seem to be able to fight for the top positions.
Jorge Martín
“It was a positive day overall, although we need to improve in some areas. However, having the time for Q2 is fundamental. Tomorrow, I need to find what is missing to be among the top riders, but I have good sensations.”
Johann Zarco
“I am satisfied with this first day of work on the track, and having the security of being in Q2 helps a lot. We made a step forward from FP1 to FP2 and I think tomorrow we could fight for important positions.”
